Dr Mona Moussa

I'm a psychologist with a passion for supporting working moms through mindfulness.

I believe that working moms deserve to prioritize their well-being. My mission is to empower you to cultivate self-compassion and find balance amidst the demands of work and motherhood through accessible mindfulness practices that help you integrate mindfulness into your daily life.

About Mindfulmona

I empower burned-out working moms juggling work and family life by offering mindfulness workshops that help them achieve a satisfactory work-life balance. According to a recent study, 68% of working mothers reported experiencing burnout. This might feel like it's a normal part of being a working mom – the chronic stress, feeling stretched thin and unable to meet the demands of work and home, the guilt of not doing enough, feeling like there's never any 'me time.' But it doesn't have to be.

I can help you navigate these challenges through mindfulness workshops that can help you manage stress and difficult emotions, set effective work boundaries, enhance your time management skills, and cultivate a deeper presence at home. The mindfulness workshops can be conducted in private, semi-private, or group formats, and face-to-face or online format.

Having worked as a counselling psychologist and a psychology professor while juggling my family and raising my three children, I’ve been there, and I understand the common work-related challenges working moms face in the high paced work culture of Dubai, multitasking and juggling multiple roles. I am passionate about providing the tools and resources to help bring more ease into your lives.

When working with me, you’ll benefit from my years of training and experience including:

-A PhD in Psychology (Attested and verified by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Australia, the UAE Embassy in Australia, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the UAE, and recognised by the Ministry of Education in the UAE)

-A Master’s in counselling psychology (Registered counselling psychologist in Victoria board of psychologists)

-Over 14 years combined, teaching at universities in Australia and the UAE, and counseling in Lebanon, Australia, the UAE, and Qatar.

-A Proven track record of publishing peer-reviewed research on mindfulness and growth following stress, and numerous contributions to newspaper articles.

-Over 40 workshops delivered in the UAE, Qatar, Lebanon, and Australia, on the topics of mindfulness and growth following stress.

-International conference presentations in the UAE, Qatar, and Australia (Recipient of the Emerging Scholar Award, 2010)

-Author of an award-winning children's book (featured on the Anna Lindh Foundation Honor List, 2009)
